BP Team 2011-12
I am Komal Pahwa, a PhD (Physics) student in School of Physics and Astronomy of University of Birmingham (UoB). I joined the Bharat Parivar (BP) society two years back as a member and currently, I am holding the president position in the committee. I have also been a part of UoB Badminton social club. Our society has been organising a number of events throughout the year likewise; Sports week, national festivals, trips etc. During my tenure as a president, I got various opportunities to develop and exhibit leadership qualities, team work, flexibility and management skills. It’s my privilege to be a part of this society and working with my fellow committee members. Please contact me for any further information at: firstname.lastname@example.org
Myself Vijayashankar Nataraj, pursuing doctoral studies in Tuberculosis research. I am in my 2nd year of PhD and associated with BP for past one year. I love sports and Research. I am from Bangalore and grown up trekking western ghats in my leisure time.
I am Rohit Farmer from Allahabad, pursuing PhD (2011-2014) from the School of Biosciences. I am serving as the secretary for the year 2011-12 at the Guild of Students. BP has been an awesome experience and I got many opportunities to network with people from various background ranging from students to officials at the Consulate. It gave me a platform to test and hone my leadership skills. Being on the committee gave me a special recognition in the Guild of Students as well as in ISAS (International Students Advisory Service). I joined the UoB mainly because of its reputation as a research oriented university but BP gave me an opportunity to see myself as a leader in areas different from my academic research. And last but not the least as the name suggests we are part of a family, which cares, makes you laugh when you are feeling sad and lonely, supports in your trials and enjoys in your triumphs. Jai Hind !!
